IFC Senior Director Gathering

Honored to be in the room with many of the senior women executives of the IFC – International Finance Corporation this Monday. The gathering was quality time for connection, inspiration and rejuvenation for these women.

Here are some of my key takeaways:

1. A big insight for this community of women executives was that they have more power and influence than they think they do! There is so much collective knowledge and experience in the group. Bringing them together ignited a rich dialogue which allowed them to connect the dots and be more intentional about how they can lean on each other. In an age where we spend so many hours behind screens, this gathering was a reminder about how important in-person connection is.

2. As commitments tug us in different directions, sometimes the best thing we can do is pause and audit how we are spending our time and where we are spending our energy in the different aspects of our life. The women valued the space to examine their work life integration and ways to better manage their own energy, which was a rare opportunity for women to truly focus on themselves and their well-being.
