Anne Steen is an Executive Coach for SHAMBAUGH. Anne specializes in coaching executives and emerging leaders who understand that thriving in a global economy and tech-oriented culture means evolving ahead of change.
An accomplished leader in the nonprofit sector, Anne developed her deep expertise by leading large and small teams through challenging situations in their respective organizations. From departmental mergers and downsizing to management changes, Anne has demonstrated steadfast leadership and empathetic approaches while ensuring management benchmarks are aligned with larger business objectives.
Anne’s coaching philosophy is built on the premise that the coach/client relationship is grounded in trust, respect and the desire to grow. While coaching often occurs in an organizational culture, transformation occurs when the focus is on the whole person. As a coach, Anne uses a range of tools including inquiry, reflection, assessments and candid self-awareness to unlock one’s personal and professional potential in life.
Anne earned her Leadership Coaching Certification through the Institute for Transformational Leadership at Georgetown University. She holds a M.Ed. in Counselor Education from The University of Virginia and a BA in Economics from the University of Mary Washington.
An avid walker, Anne is a two-time veteran of walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain. She and her family live in Arlington, VA. In her spare time, Anne enjoys getting away to the Northern Neck of Virginia to soak-in life on the Chesapeake Bay.
