Susan Seber

Executive Coach, Faculty Member

Susan is a Faculty Member and Executive Coach for SHAMBAUGH, through which she helps aspiring leaders strengthen self-awareness and take action to move them towards their goals. In addition to providing 1:1 coaching, she’s designed and implemented multiple best-in-class global mentoring programs. She is also a course instructor for “EssentialTechnical and People Skills”, “Digital Agility”, a targeted engineering consultant, and senior intern mentor for the Georgetown Biotechnology MS Program.

Susan is passionate about leveraging her global leadership experience to enable others to be more purposeful and achieve their best - both on and off the job. Susan has honed a unique blend of technical and soft skills during an extensive career in biopharmaceutical, petrochemical and consumer product industries.

Prior to this, she was with AstraZeneca for 12 years - her last position as Chief of Staff andHead of Business Performance for IT, with laser vision on digital strategy to improve medicine delivery to patients. Additionally, she held roles as Strategy and Operations Head for the Global Sustainability organization, Director of Commercial Project Management and Governance Body Chief of Staff - whereshe partnered with C-suite and other senior executives to develop top level strategy and drive key initiatives.

Susan received her Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Management Black Belt, but her love of learning and empowering others is lifelong.

A graduate of the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Program, Susan is a Professional Certified Coachthrough the International Coach Federation and active member of the Metro DC Chapter. She is certified in the EQ inAction Profile Assessment Tool through Learning in Action Technologies.

Susan has a special interest in supporting the development and advancement of women, based on her own personal experience of navigating the unique challenges of being a female leader. She is an active member of Women In Bio and a senior member and advisor for their Mentors, Advisors, and Peers (MAP) Program. Susan is also a leader for theSpecial Events Team and senior mentor for the Girls in Technology (STEM) Program, as part of Women in Technology(WIT).
